The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata, once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and business acumen through its annual event, Prism, which had1000+ registrations this year. From the 7th to the 9th of August, the campus buzzed with entrepreneurial energy as students engaged in a captivating three-day entrepreneurial simulation. This year’s event, packed with exciting activities and insightful speaker sessions, left a lasting impact on all participants.
The highlight of Prism ’23 was the stellar lineup of speaker sessions that inspired and enlightened the participants. The stage was graced by eminent personalities such as Mr. Neel Ghose, the visionary founder of The Robin Hood Army, Mr. Raju Goyal, an accomplished business strategist, and Mr. Suhail Sameer, the CEO of BharatPe, a driving force in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. These sessions drew an audience of over 2000 students and not only provided valuable insights into the world of entrepreneurship but also ignited the passion and determination within every attendee.
The event featured five rounds, each designed to test various dimensions of participants’ skills and capabilities. Beyond the conventional oratory and analytical challenges, Prism ’23 pushed boundaries by evaluating crisis management strategies and core business domains including marketing, finance, HR-PR, and more. It wasn’t just a competition; it was a holistic learning experience that stretched the limits of creativity and strategic thinking.
From running a virtual space mission named Cosmic Conquest to participating in production simulations, the participants were taken on a roller-coaster ride of challenges and experiences. Group discussions, infused with a fun twist, encouraged collaboration and creativity. The integration of power cards, loans, and cutting-edge case studies elevated the competition, making it not only a battle of wits but also a showcase of strategic prowess.
Prism ’23 extended an open invitation to every first-year student, regardless of their prior experience in business conclaves. It emphasized the importance of participation, urging students to kick-start their college journey with a burst of action and enthusiasm.
