From Camouflage to Canvas: Army Children Display Artistic Talents at Shivneri Rang Mahotsav by Team FACE

On the occasion of World Art Day, a vibrant and colorful event was organized at the Shivneri Army Primary School to showcase the incredible artistic talent of the children from Army backgrounds. The Shivneri Rang Mahotsav held on the 18th of April 2023, was a celebration of creativity and imagination, a platform for these young artists to showcase their skills and express themselves through painting and craft.

The event was a testament to the unique challenges these children face in their lives, such as frequent relocation and separation from their fathers. Despite these hurdles, their unwavering spirit, talent, and determination brought them to the stage to display their creativity and skill.

The Shivneri Rang Mahotsav was judged by a panel of eminent personalities from the art world, including Mrs. Madhuri Bhaduri, who has received the All Ladies League Award for Iconic Leadership in Art, Design & Entrepreneurship, Mrs. Sujata Dharap, a recipient of the Maharashtra State Award in the students category in 1981 and a National Award of the All India Art & Craft Society, New Delhi in 1986, Mrs. Reena Soni, an expert in abstract mixed media-based work, and Mrs. Seema Seth, who has been acknowledged by Forbes India & Femina.

The Shivneri Rang Mahotsav was an excellent opportunity to promote the development of art and foster artistic talent among the children of Army families. The event also provided a platform to showcase the incredible creativity and imagination of these young artists and to encourage them to continue pursuing their passion for art.
