Entreprise’24, a 4-day whirlwind corporate event organized by the esteemed Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of St Xavier’s College(Autonomous), Kolkata. This brainchild of passionate minds wasn’t just a competition but a crucible, forging the next generation of business leaders through rigorous challenges. Buckle up, as we unravel the enthralling journey of Entreprise’24, where students didn’t just compete, they thrived, participating in a slew of quantitative and strategic rounds. The event saw the participation of 300 plus participants from different colleges across the country.
Entreprise’24 was an inter-college event that began on the 21st of January. The competition comprised 5 intense rounds testing the understanding of participants. The first 2 rounds were held on the 21st and 23rd of January in the online mode.

The participants were required to form a team of two to participate in the rounds. The first round required one participant per team to take part in a group discussion and the other participant to take part in a series of tasks based on marketing, PR crisis, and entrepreneurship.
Legends of the Battlefield, the second round of this amazing college event was based on the theme of an ancient Greek battlefield wherein the players embarked on a strategic journey to collect and create a powerful deck of cards. The round also put their quantitative skills to the fire when the teams were required to bid depending on the ratings of their card. The mini-rounds were a great way to check their qualitative skills.

The third round, Illicit Empires was held on the 29th of January at the campus itself, wherein the participants assumed the roles of trusted employee of a contraband lord who operates in various countries. Their main aim was to maximise their corpus but at the same time, they were required to take part in mini-rounds to win power cards and gain strategic advantage.
After the third round, the top 8 teams made their way to round 4, the final preliminary round.

Putting themselves in the shoes of an Insurance company, participants had to navigate through various challenges in the form of decision-making, strategising, and risk analysis to maximise their revenue through return maximisation and premium revenues. This round saw participants indulging themselves heavily in calculations and quantitative aspects of a real-life insurance firm. The best 5 teams then made their way to the final round of Entrperise’24 which was held on the 30th of January.

In the final round, participants played the role of various ministries of the Taiwan Government, navigating their way through Geopolitical Conflicts and Corporate Monopoly in the Semi Conductor industry.

Filled with periodic updates and moderated as well as unmoderated discussion, the round’s objective was to see how participants act under pressure, and take effective decisions while lobbying and negotiating with other stakeholders.

The closing ceremony of Entreprise’24 was held on the 6th of February,2024 in the Fr. Depelchin Auditorium of St.Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata.
