A Metallic era created by Amit Aggarwal

Article by – Pavi Shetty

Metals- opaque, lustrous elements that are good conductors of heat and electricity. Just had a thought if this lustre could be something one can wear, they would definitely be good conductors of heat and electricity in every event they attend. Amit Aggarwal is an iconic Fashion Designer who has made metallic fabrics the new saga for every event. Commonly known as AA, he recently launched his collection named “Pedesis” which proved metal to be lustrous.

From Janhavi Kapoor to Mouni Roy, these outfits are a talk of the town. The unique marketing strategy adopted by him show the streets of Mumbai, the true Mumbai- the people who struggle, the streets that see hard-work every day, the faces that smile amidst the while serving their customers, every known and unknown corner of the city. The originality and raw form of these photographs from around the city makes it even more beautiful.

Inspirations taken by this designer are just the proof of out of the box thinking and implementing the same in his designs. We can say he dived really deep into the sea to get these inspirations from the underwater creatures. This changes the way one looks at a design and makes it more of a story rather than just being an outfit. The metallic effect that these designs give just make the outfit phenomenal and stands-out in the generation where remakes and remixes are a trend. The range of his designs extend from Jackets, blazers, sarees and dresses.

In the journey to be a sustainable brand, the materials used in these outfits is mostly recycled. This is how you turn waste into a really good fashionable taste and create an era where occasion wear is not restricted to sequence and silk, it’s also metal. A distinctive thinking, avant-garde inspiration and a skilful craftsmanship looks like Amit Aggarwal Couture.
