Keerthy Suresh, one of the most versatile and celebrated actors in Indian cinema, has enthralled audiences with her dynamic performances and authentic portrayal of characters. As she gears up for her Bollywood debut, Keerthy shares insights into her journey, passion for acting, and upcoming projects in an exclusive interview with Face Magazine.

The Cinematic Calling

Reflecting on her early years, Keerthy reveals that acting was more than just a career choice—it was destiny. “I have always been passionate about acting,” she shares. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in cinema, with her mother as an actor and her father as a producer, Keerthy’s household was a haven of movie discussions and storytelling. “In households where they talk about a lot of other things, in ours it was always cinema,” she says. Her dream to be in the limelight was further complemented by her sister’s aspiration to work behind the scenes.

Interestingly, Keerthy’s journey into acting began with a backup plan. “One of the reasons why I did fashion design was to stay connected to cinema, even if not as an actor,” she reveals. “But acting was always my preference, my choice. And here I am, doing what I love.”

Breathing Life into Complex Characters

From playing the legendary Savitri in Mahanati to other strong and resilient roles, Keerthy’s performances resonate with depth and authenticity. Preparing for a biopic like Mahanati was a journey in itself. “Portraying a legendary personality is challenging, especially when they are not around anymore,” she says. Through meticulous research, conversations with Savitri’s daughter, and reading extensively about her, Keerthy immersed herself in the character.

“I trust my directors implicitly,” she states. “A script is their baby, and as an actor, I believe in bringing their vision to life while adding my style to make it unique.” Keerthy’s dedication to her craft reflects in her performances, which continue to captivate audiences.

Bollywood Debut: A New Chapter

Keerthy’s highly anticipated Bollywood debut is a leap into uncharted territory. Speaking about her experience, she says, “It’s amazing to see South Indian cinema reaching a global audience. It adds a new level of responsibility to choose roles that resonate universally.” The opportunity to work on her first Hindi film excites her as she embraces this new chapter with enthusiasm.

Dream Collaborations

When asked about her dream co-stars, Keerthy lights up with excitement. “I’m a big Shah Rukh Khan fan,” she gushes. “I’ve met him a couple of times, and I’d love to work with him. Shahid Kapoor is another actor I admire.” She remains open to exploring collaborations with other Bollywood talents as she embarks on her new journey.

Style Beyond the Screen

Keerthy’s background in fashion design adds a unique flair to her personal style. “I believe that comfort is my identity,” she says. “I’ve pushed my boundaries in recent years, experimenting with different looks and makeovers.” Her love for fashion is evident both on and off the screen, as she continues to explore the intersection of style and self-expression.

Finding Balance in a Hectic Lifestyle

With a packed schedule, Keerthy acknowledges the importance of self-care. “I used to hustle so much that I neglected my health,” she admits. “But I’ve learned the importance of taking breaks and prioritizing well-being.” Despite her hectic lifestyle, she strives to find moments of relaxation, whether through planned vacations or unexpected breaks in her shooting schedule.

Navigating Social Media

In today’s digital age, social media can be both a blessing and a challenge. Keerthy manages her online presence by focusing on positivity. “I only see what uplifts me and avoid negativity,” she says. Authenticity is key for Keerthy, who enjoys sharing glimpses of her life that reflect her true self.

Inspiring the Next Generation

As a role model for aspiring actors, Keerthy emphasizes hard work and perseverance. “Dreaming big is important, but chasing those dreams is even more crucial,” she advises. “Failures are a part of the journey, and each one teaches you something valuable. Keep working hard, and don’t procrastinate.”

Exciting Projects Ahead

Fans have much to look forward to in Keerthy’s upcoming ventures. Her Bollywood debut Baby John, slated for a Christmas release, is just one of the highlights. She is also working on the Tamil film Revolver Rita, the Telugu film Uppu Kappurambu, and a web series for YRF titled Akka.

“I’m thrilled about all these projects because each one is so different,” she says. Looking ahead, Keerthy dreams of exploring genres like action and comedy, continually challenging herself as an artist.

As Keerthy Suresh transitions into new realms of cinema and storytelling, her unwavering passion and dedication ensure that she remains a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. This exclusive interview with Keerthy Suresh was conducted for Face Magazine and showcases her journey, insights, and aspirations as one of India’s most beloved stars.
