About the Founder
Having completed her undergraduate studies at Lady Shriram College in Economics and earning her Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, Dr. Preeti Maroo went on to pursue her Ph.D. at Rajasthan University. After working for ten years in the Chambers of Commerce, she decided to follow her passion for the arts and launched Gallery Vision Art in 2014.
Dr. Preeti Maroo’s interest in art is not limited to running a gallery. She is also a keen collector and art enthusiast, having completed an art appreciation course to further her knowledge in this field. Her diverse background in Economics and the Arts likely gives her a unique perspective of the art world and the role it plays in society.
She is passionate about the arts and has taken steps to pursue that passion in her professional life.
About the Gallery
Gallery Vision Art’s entry into the art scene in 2014 was a breath of fresh air, with a primary objective of bringing works of masters, seniors and upcoming artists to the doorstep of art lovers and enthusiasts. The gallery makes a conscious effort to meet the requirements of art lovers, irrespective of their budget. The team at Gallery Vision Art believes that everyone should have access to art and aims to democratize the art scene in India.
The Gallery has established itself as an “art lover’s paradise” by exhibiting works by senior artists such as Ram Kumar, Satish Gujral, Krishan Khanna, Thota Vaikuntam, Laxma Goud, etc. These senior artists have helped to put Gallery Vision Art on the map, and their works have attracted a wide range of art enthusiasts and collectors to the gallery.
Over the years, the gallery has had multiple shows at its own premises and has exhibited at some famous art fairs, including the India Art Festival in Mumbai, Bangalore, and New Delhi, the Imagine Fest in New Delhi, and the Rotary Club of Delhi on multiple occasions, with proceeds going towards charitable purposes. By
participating in these art fairs, Gallery Vision Art is expanding its reach and showcasing the works of talented artists to a wider audience.
One of the Gallery’s unique features is its focus on bringing forth art forms from remote areas in India (including Phad, Gond, Pichwai and Kalamkari) and introducing these to Indians in India and abroad. By doing this, Gallery Vision Art is broadening the horizons of the Indian art scene and exposing Indian audiences to a wide range of artistic styles and techniques.
