Sreejita De

Actress Sreejita De is one of the popular faces on Indian Television. The diva has entertained us with her charismatic nature. Debuted with Kasauti Zindagii Kay in 2001, Sreejita has been part of industry’s long running daily soaps like Uttaran and Nazar.

Sreejita De is once again leading the headlines as Bigboss 16 is all set to start soon and Sreejita as one of the Contestants.

1. So let’s start with the most amazing News that took the internet by storm which is your  participation in Bigg Boss 16 house which is surely going to bring a lot of fun and drama. What was your first reaction and are you excited for your journey in BB house?

Answer- Yes, I am very much excited to start my journey inside the BB house. For the unversed, I’ve previously been offered to be in Bigg Boss, but I’ve rejected it since I wasn’t sure whether I could make it through the entire show. I’ve made the decision to join it anyhow and have responded “Yes.” I want to take part in the competition so that I can experience it.

2. How did you discover theater? How old were you? How was your journey to becoming a working actor?

Answer- It happened to me quite early in life. I was only 18 and a half years old, a student at Mumbai’s Ruia College, and I had never really been interested in acting. I enjoy dancing, but I’ve never had an interest in acting. Then, I remember a day when I was conversing with a buddy when they said that Balaji was hosting an audition and suggested that we go check it out. I decided to try acting at that point and haven’t looked back since. I made the choice to pursue acting as a career.

3. Describe your most challenging role till date.

Answer- Every actor, in my opinion, contributes in some way to give the character some rusk, or else the character will start to resemble a skeleton. It would appear as though you were simply reading from the script. To be really honest, I can think of one character that was difficult for me to perform on television for a variety of reasons. One instance that comes to me is when my director requested me to give my character Dilruba a really strange laugh. We tried a few different things, but when I ultimately laughed in a certain way, he loved it right away and thought it was very annoying. My Nazar director was incredibly helpful.

4. We saw you channelizing your inner poo in the Instagram Reel. Is there a particular celebrity that you obsess over or enjoy reading abt the most?

Answer- I’m glad you noticed it! I love the iconic Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham movie’s character Poo. There is not a particular celebrity I’m obsessed with, but rather Bollywood in general.

5. You portrayed Mukta in Colors TV’s Uttaran which ranks among the longest-running Indian television shows. Tell us about your experience.

Answer- Working on Colors TV’s Uttaran was a wonderful experience, and the fact that it is one of the longest-running Indian television show is just like a cherry on the top of the cake for me. That show has showered me with lots of love.

6. Sreejita you have surprised your fans with love-filled photos with your fiance Michael and there are rumors about weddings happening this year. Is this true? And what are your wedding plans?

Answer- Since the year 2020, we have been trying to be married, but due to the epidemic, we were unable to. So, Michael and I got engaged on December 21 of last year, and now we are planning our wedding for the next year. We’ll wait and see how my Bigg Boss house journey goes, and then we’ll plan our wedding accordingly.

7. What, according to you, is the mantra of success?

Answer-  The mantra of success that I like to use wherever I go is “To Be Myself,” which enables me to stand up for my identity in any circumstance. The second thing I try to do is to be flexible and respond in the best way possible given the circumstances.
