Sunita Lamba: Sculpting the Rhythm of Life

Sunita Lamba is an artist who finds inspiration in the warm embrace of human relationships and the connection between nature and love. She brings to life the imagined worlds that exist in the minds of all sentient beings, weaving sublime stories into her sculptures that leave a lasting impact on those who experience them.

Sunita’s art is characterized by a rejection of all types of confinement, be it in subject or form. Instead, she approaches form with an abstract mindset, seeking to create a familiar yet unfamiliar shape that reveals the identity we seek while negating the identity already established within them.

Her sculptures often depict the spirit of coexistence, not just between humans but also between humans and nature, animals, and birds. Human relationships hold a special significance in her art, with frequent depictions of two or three human figures supporting one another. The bond between mother and child is also a recurring theme in her work.

Sunita’s preferred mediums are bronze and fibre, but she has also experimented with steel crafts, adding a new dimension to her already multifaceted art. Her art celebrates the rhythm of life, giving shape to the desire to make the world more humane, and discovering and creating the world that exists in the minds. Her work is a testament to the power of imagination and creativity in bringing about positive change in the world.

Sunita’s work is a reminder that art is not just a form of self-expression, but also a powerful tool for building connections between individuals and communities. Her art invites us to see the world in a new light, and to appreciate the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
