Anushka Ranjan

1. Anushka, the public knows you as an actor and creative producer, which is more of your cup of tea?  In other words, what’s been more exciting for you?

So far acting is something that I have done. Production has just happened for me and I haven’t really started my first project as a creative producer yet. So I’d say acting for sure. It excites me to go on set and do my gig. I want to do more experimental work but till that doesn’t happen with acting I shall make movies that fulfil my itch

2. Over the years you have seen a transition in the audiovisual industry, and Bollywood. Define the change you have experienced in terms of technology or digitalization.

There has been a huge change in technology for sure. The VFX that was used in our movies till a few years ago to what it is now is definitely many leaps forward. The way a movie is being made now is very systematic as compared to before.

3. We have a lot of young talent entering Bollywood, music and recording professions, Any particular tips for the youth?

I know the youths heard this enough on memes etc but don’t let someone’s life on social media make you judge your own. You’re on your own path and things work out differently for all. So trust your process and work hard. There’s enough space for all in the industry now. So make your own mark. Don’t try to undercut anyone.

4. As a women idol, and entrepreneur, where do you think the country is leading? Do you feel times have changed, and now equality is a principle followed everywhere?

I do believe we are seeing an amazing change in the voices women have and the respect they’re demanding. That being said, I still feel there is still a long way to go. There is equality to a certain extent. We need to live in a world where everything that we know to be right isn’t the law anymore. I feel we shall achieve that soon, but doesn’t mean the fights over yet

5. Tell us about your latest project, any new release on youtube, or a new commercial that you’re a part of? We want our audience to admire your latest work!

There’s a movie I’m working on that was supposed to start by the year but due to the second wave, it got delayed. Apart from that, I’m working on some exciting scripts along with Tips. And here’s hoping a lot more stuff comes along.
